Every November, hundreds of organizations from North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia host gatherings that serve to ignite the imagination of the future geospatial innovators who will move the planet forward using GIS.

In 2019, the City of Galveston participated in GeoWeek. Staff presented How the City of Galveston Uses GIS to Texas A&M University - Galveston (TAMUG), the City of Galveston, and the City of Seabrook.
