Description: Galveston Central Appraisal District releases data approximately twice a year with their Aug/Sept release being the Certified Year data.Parcels are essential for multiple City applications, not limited to, but including: Accela and VueWorks. Parcels will be scaled, meaning that at a specific zoom level within the City web maps, the parcels will show up. This is to limit the amount of time it would take to for the system to draw them while the user is zoomed out. Scalability also allows the user a more detailed view of the data with a faster draw time.In current Accela, the alias for parcels must be 'gispar'to be recognized for the processing scripts.In current VUEWorks, the data type - Object ID must have its field name set to OBJECTID. The absence of this field name to the object id type causes the layer to become unselectable in the VUEWorks application.In current VUEWorks, the TEMP_ID field is used as a unique id. VUEWorks is using it as a placeholder to access the parcel data location through the application. VUEWorks Admin is aware that this field will change when new Appraisal District parcel files are released and should not be used to identify parcels or assign service orders or work orders.
